Day 1 & 2
Fly from the UK to Sydney and on arrival transfer to your hotel for two nights.
Take in spectacular views from the Sydney Tower’s outdoor platform, the Skywalk. Visit the iconic Sydney Opera House for a behind-the-scenes tour, climb the Harbour Bridge or people watch at Bondi Beach. Sample the fabulous restaurants at Circular Quay or Darling Harbour or hit the shops at the Queen Victoria Building or the Westfield and Pitt Street malls. Enjoy art, culture and outdoor adventures too in this vibrant city.
Day 4 & 5
Sit back, kick off your shoes and put your feet up during our 'at sea' days, where you can chill in the bar, lounge by the pool or enjoy a relaxing beauty treatment in the spa. For simple pleasures, why not try a game of table tennis? Or if you’re feeling energetic, now’s the chance to explore all the amazing activities the ship has to offer, from spectacular, West-End-style entertainment to adrenalin-charged sports.
Be blown away by the awe-inspiring splendour of Milford Sound, in the Fiordland National Park on South Island. The stunning scenery of this tranquil fjord boasts cascading waterfalls, towering wooded cliffs and deep, mysterious waters.
Enjoy the remote wilderness and stunning beauty of Doubtful Sound, the second largest fjord in New Zealand’s Fjordland National Park. See towering peaks reflected in the mirrored waters and spot hidden inlets as they emerge into view. Look out for bottlenose dolphins and fur seals or the rare Fiordland Crested Penguin in this unusual ecosystem, a mix of fresh and saltwater.
Be wow’ed by the awe-inspiring beauty of remote and unspoilt Dusky Sound, on the south west corner of New Zealand in Fiordland National Park. Dusky Sound, with its impressive cliffs and thundering waterfalls, was discovered by Captain Cook in 1773 after his crossing of the Southern Ocean. Look out for Fiordland Penguins and other sea and bird life and be blown away by the silence and splendour of this amazing place.
Walk the Dunedin Street Art Trail in this culture-friendly city on South Island. Cycle or take a tour round beautiful Otago Harbour or explore the city’s Scottish-inspired Victorian and Edwardian architecture by bike. See the magnificent Dunedin Railway Station, Dunedin Prison or the gothic-style First Church of Otago. Take high tea in imposing Larnach Castle and discover the lovely gardens and views.
Explore the stunning mountain and coastal scenery around Akaroa by road, rail or thrilling jet boat. See where Lord of the Rings was filmed or meet the sheep dogs at a lovely countryside sheep station. Discover Akaroa’s fascinating heritage in the Okains Bay Maori and Colonial Museum or see seals, little penguins, sea birds and dolphins on a sea kayaking or boat trip around Akaroa’s beautiful bays.
Explore the historic Edwin Fox in picturesque Picton, a ship that once carried Florence Nightingale to the Crimea, convicts to Australia and settlers to New Zealand. Embrace the great outdoors on a walking or cycling tour along the Queen Charlotte Track, with its stunning views of Marlborough Sound. See spectacular scenery on a boating, kayaking, scuba diving or fishing trip or sample delicious Marlborough wines.
Ride in a Maori war canoe, raft down rushing waters or watch sheepdogs at work in lovely Napier on North Island. Walk around the amazing art deco architecture, built after an earthquake in the 1930s. See the gannet colonies at Cape Kidnappers or take a tasting tour of the vineyards of Hawke’s Bay. Every February Napier holds a stylish Art Deco weekend of all things 1930s, including vintage cars, fashion and music.
A day at sea
On the Bay of Plenty, sunny Tauranga has a beautiful harbour, historic sights, a revitalised waterfront and access to beautiful beaches, vibrant Maori culture and outdoor adventures.
Day 15 & 16
Arrive in Auckland and disembark ready for your two night stay.Take in the jaw-dropping views from the Harbour Bridge or the 1076ft Sky Tower. Discover Auckland’s stunning landscapes, shaped by 48 volcanoes.
Day 17 & 18
Return to the UK on an overnight flight
