Marvel at the ancient history and natural splendours of Greece and the Adriatic on this amazing roundtrip cruise from Venice. Before you go, make your way along the Grand Canal via gondola and behold the gothic architecture of the Doge's Palace. Whilst in Athens, witness the one-and-only Acropolis, a citadel more than 2,500 years old and still a fixture of the city's skyline. And amble the massive palace in Old Town Split, built by the emperor Diocletian in 4th century ADVERT and today serves as a lively hub for shopping, dining and nightlife.

Lake Garda is Italy's largest fresh-water lake and is located in north east Italy. A luxury summer destination for the Romans and still a popular place to enjoy a holiday. Travelling around the lake to visit the numerous towns is best done by the local ferries.

Riva del Garda has pretty public gardens and the waterfront is dominated by a fortress. Malcesine is a charming maze of alleyways and a castle guards the water whilst a cable car will take you up to the high grassy summit of Monte Baldo.

Mestre is the mainland town connected to Venice by rail or bus taking 20 minutes. Travel on a vaporetto or water taxi to enjoy Venice from the water before arriving at St Mark's Square. This most iconic square is home to Basilica di San Marco and Palazzo Ducale. Walk the Rialto Bridge or visit the Gallerie Dell'Accadamia.

Dubrovnik is dubbed 'the pearl of the Adriatic' by the poet Lord Byron. This Croatian city exudes romantic charm and beautiful scenery with it's shimmering marble streets, centuries-old buildings capped by bright orange roofs. A walk around the city walls make it clear how Dubrovnik was affected by the war in former Yugoslavia and also offers great views out to sea and the surrounding islands.

The secluded city of Kotor is protected by 65 foot high walls which date back to the 9th century. Stroll the labyrinth of cobbled lanes with cosy cafes and craft shops. Ensure you are on the open deck of the ship either when you arrive or depart Montenegro for a view which is hard to beat.

The Greek Island of Corfu, home of The Durrells and birthplace or Prince Philip. Steeped in history you may wish to visit the castle, walk the streets of the old town or simply sit on the Liston and people watch.

Santorini is the island most people associate with Greece. Its whitewashed houses with blue shutters, perched high on a hill the main town is cobbled streets and designer shops and views that will take your breath away.

The island of Mykonos is a glamourous island rivalling St Tropez and Ibiza. The main town in a maze of white washed houses and market places, a lovely place to relax.
