Once you are on board your ship you begin to enjoy your full board dining experience with complimentary drinks with meals. Your tour director will go through the Signature Experiences and Freedom of Choice Sightseeing to ensure you get the most out of your trip.
.Day 1 - Fly from the UK to Budapest and transfer to your ship. After your first dinner on board you set off on a magical twilight cruise along the Danube River.
Day 2 - After breakfast enjoy a guided tour of Budapest city. Later your ship sails towards Vienna.
Day 3 - In the afternoon you arrive in Vienna, Austria's capital. home to striking architecture, a rich classical music culture and vibrant cafes. Take a tour of the cities most important landmarks including a guided walk to St Stephen's Cathedral
Day 4 - Take one of the excursions on offer including Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family.
After dinner your first Signature Experience awaits at the Liechtenstein City Palace in the heart of Vienna. Attend an exclusive cocktail reception and a private concert featuring members of the Mozart Boys' Choir, a full orchestra performing classical masterpieces by Mozart and Strauss and an operatic recital.
Day 5 - Your ship arrives in Durnstein before continuing to Melk.
Take an excursion and roam the cobblestones of Durnstein's lanes and view the ruins of the castle where Richard the Lionheart's was imprisoned.
You can also take one of the ship's bikes to cycle to the next port of call, Melk.
Once in Melk a must is the guided tour of Melk Abbey.
Day 6 - This morning you arrive in Linz and your excursions all end in Passau. If you prefer not to do an excursion then remain on board for the leisurely sail to Passau.
In Linz you may wish to take the opportunity to travel to Salzburg and relive the 'Sound of Music'. Alternatively you may wish to embark on a full day trip to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic where you will discover the stunning 13th century castle overlooking the Vitava River.
Day 7 - This morning you will arrive in Regensburg where you may wish to take a guided city walking tour. Alternatively you can learn the Schuhplattler, a fun Bavarian dance, in the local beer haus. You may prefer a gourmet walking tour where you discover the culinary secrets of the region then dine in the Michelin starred restaurant, Storstad.
Day 8 - Today you will arrive in Nuremberg where your historic city tour takes you to a selection of World War II sites, including the Reich Party Rally Grounds, the site of Hitler's infamous rallies. Discover the medieval architecture, including the 900 year old ramparts that surround the city.
When back on board sample freshly baked gingerbread whilst cruising the Main-Danube Canal.
Day 9 - This morning your ship arrive in the World Heritage listed city of Bamberg. Explore the Old Town with a local expert to discover a range of historic churches and buildings, including the town hall on the Rover Regnitz.
Day 10 - Wurzburg has immense architectural beauty and you have a choice of sightseeing activities. Walk the city to the Wurzburg Residence, an 18th century palace that once belonged to the Prince-Bishops of Worzburg. Inside marvel at intricate tapestries, gilded stucco work and ceiling frescoes.
If you prefer, take a journey along the Romantic Road to the medieval town of Rothenburg where you have a city tour.
Alternatively visit a family owned farm, where you tour the property before sitting down to morning tea and hear all about farming life.
Day 11 - This morning there is a demonstration of glass blowing on board as you sail towards Miltenberg.
Once you have arrived you may wish to visit a local winery, where you will learn about Rhine Valley wines, as well as sampling the region's delicious produce during a wine and cheese tasting.
There is also a language lesson on board for those of you who wish to learn more of the German language.
Otherwise a hike through the picturesque forested area surrounding the town with spectacular views of the Franconian vineyards.
Day 12 - Arrive in Rudesheim where you may wish to tour Siegfried's Mechanical Museum or alternatively board a gondola for exceptional views over the Rhine Valley.
This afternoon you cruise to Andernach so take your place on deck as you cruise the Rhine's most beautiful stretch of river.
Tonight your Signature Experience is an exclusive visit to Namedy Castle, home to Princess Heide von Hohenzollern, who has kindly opened the doors to the castle just for you. Enjoy time wandering about the castle and grounds at your leisure, then savour dinner in the ballroom, accompanied by a special classical recital.
Day 13 - Arrive in the Gothic city of Cologne, centred around the twin spires of its famous cathedral.
Enjoy a walking tour or take a bike and ride through this beautiful city.
Day 14 - Today you sail into the Dutch capital, Amsterdam, and there are many experiences for you to enjoy.
Take a glass top boat along the canals, gliding past 17th century homes, churches or merchant houses.
Visit Zaanse Schans, famous for its wooden windmills, traditional Dutch houses and speciality produce. Explore and enjoy some of the renowned Dutch cheeses.
You may wish to relax on board while a local baker conucts a 'stroopwafel' demonstration, a waffle made from two thin layers of baked dough with a caramel like filling in the middle
In the evening everyone comes together for the Captain's Farewell Dinner
Day 15 - After breakfast you disembark the ship for your transfer to the airport and your flight back to the UK
